Park/API Sports Camp
Ages 7 to 14
8:45 AM – 4:00 PM
The API Sports and Fitness Camp at The Park School of Baltimore returns for its third year after two summers that included visits by Baltimore Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason, 2005 NCAA Lacrosse Player of the Year Kyle Harrison, former Baltimore Orioles pitcher and Olympic gold medal winner Rick Krivda, and other college and professional athletes and coaches.
Campers can sign up for sports fun and instruction on a weekly basis. The camp introduces kids between the ages of 7 and 14 to a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, and soccer. A fitness component is included, with the goal of helping kids understand that exercise can be fun and that participation in competitive, recreational, and pick-up sports is a means to live an active and healthy lifestyle well into their adult years. Weekly guest appearances by athletes and coaches with professional or college athletic experience are included. The program develops fundamental skills through drills, games, and contests, and ensures that campers learn, improve, and maintain their focus—all while having a great time. Each day concludes with a 45-minute swimming session, and all campers receive a t-shirt, group photo, and daily snack.
