Gallery exhibitions and performances by campers are part of the experience. Each camper must be enrolled for a minimum of three weeks.
Add one or more additional weeks of Discoveries in Art and/or Explorations in Science for $405 per week.
June 21 – July 09
Campers travel through history with their favorite doll. Enjoy activities, crafts, and games from different eras, and explore the lives of girls throughout American history . . . from pioneer days to colonial times, the Great Depression to World War II, and even the groovy 70s! Campers create and perform in a play, learn about period clothes and hairstyles, and solve a mystery or two.
Join Park Camps for a three-week adventure creating a musical! Campers begin with an audition and end with a performance on our stage for family and friends. They not only sing, dance, and act, campers also design sets and costumes and experience all aspects of theater
Let us help your child develop a love of culinary art. Campers become young chefs in our kitchen. Using recipes from around the world, they prepare the ingredients, cook, and serve meals. Campers take field trips to a farmer’s market and a grocery store to buy the items for one of the recipes they will prepare. Your child will not only learn to love cooking, but will learn to serve food appropriately and, best of all, enjoy eating their creations.
Campers who love to work with their hands and are interested in exploring 3-dimensional media will enjoy Clay Art. They have the opportunity to create pottery and sculptures with their hands and using the potter’s wheel. Using coils, slabs, and chunks of clay, campers develop their hand-building skills to make a wide variety of items, both useful and sculptural. They also learn the basics of throwing pots, the art of wedging clay, centering, pulling up the sides, and trimming the base.
Beginning-Advanced
Investigate the technology and inner workings of computers and robots. Design websites using both Dreamweaver and HTML. Design 3-D maps for an on-line video game and discover how to manipulate digital photos with Adobe Photoshop. Campers use their imaginations utilizing Lego Mindstorms, its parts, sensors, motors, and miniature computers to build and program robots and robotic cars.
Designed for variety, All-Around Camp offers both art and science classes each day. Your camper will discover and experiment with exciting hands-on projects in the classroom. Special guest performances and all-camp theme days complete the exciting All-Around experience.
